Around 8am, we can really feel the heat which slows us down. Well the good thing was, most of us are used to heat training. :) So they don't really mind so much about the heat, it makes them sweat though. lol
They called this run "Adobo Run", because of the enticing, luscious, mouthwatering, savory, and scrumptious Adobo with Gata of Mam Judith waiting at the finish line! ^_^
Reaching the 10 kilometer mark, all of us are talking about the Adobo. Basically, it became our motivation to keep going and to run fast!
But wait, whether you came first in the finish line, you cannot taste yet the Adobo sa Gata simply because everyone should wait for the last runner to reach the finish line.
At 9:30am, everyone was able to eat their most awaited Adobo with Gata. :) It was the best finish line because after the run there were too many foods; ice creams, eggs, hotdogs, sodas, tuna sandwiches, slurpees, and especially the cake for the birthday celebrant (Blue)!
And of course, blowing of the candle of our Diva! :)
Thank you to our Support; Sir Mike and Kuya Boyet, the best!
See you next time again Nuvali :)

Laguna to Quezon 50K Ultramarathon
(U.P. Los Banos) to (Kamay ni Hesus) [August 24, 2014]
My First EVER Ultra-marathon.
And I never really thought that I would be running an ultra-marathon earlier than I wished to be. Everything happens so fast, then the night came I was riding in our support group car at around 9pm and driving to Laguna; my mind is still not in the condition that I would be running a 50 kilometer. It was around 1am when we arrived at U.P. Los Banos and many runners were preparing already; warming up, hydrating, eating, praying, and all those stuffs runner usually do before the run. Race briefing happened 30minutes before the gun-start, I was trying to condition my mind already but none of it worked. My mind seriously thinks that I will be just running my normal 21 kilometer run.
It was 3am the race started! I want to run slow, telling myself that this is an ultra-marathon; it worked!-- for 5minutes. grr! After that, I felt the adrenaline I usually feel whenever I run a half marathon. And my feet starts to run with their normal pace, and I saw myself running together with the two Mamaw of the team. 10 kilometer mark came and our support group was waiting for us, we stopped to get something to drink and eat and we run again. 22 kilometer mark came and we saw our support group car, we stopped again but this time it was quite longer that I manage to take a sit for a minute and I can see my skin was steaming. Hehe
At 35 kilometer mark, that was the time when my mind manage to sink the thought that I am running an almost 55 kilometer distance run. My body started to run slower, needed to drink frequently, and done several powerwalk.
It was 47 kilometer mark; we had run through most of the uphells and downhells. I felt my body was running out of strength. I felt dizzy already due to heat, signs that I am about to experience cramps, side stitch for a couple of times, my feet were sore already since it was the longest distance ever that I reached, and my waist was in pain that I was walking from time to time. With all these, I decided to tell to my buddy that he should go on because I know and I can see that he was still in the condition; and I explained that he would end up walking with me most of the time until we reach the finish line. Hehe
After a series of walking and running, and I even manage to take a nap alongside the road at around 50 Kilometer mark -- I reached the 54.66 Kilometer FINISH LINE at nearly 1pm.
I finished my first ultra-marathon.
Thank you so much to my Kuya and Best Buddy who first encouraged me to run and never left me; Kuya Edmond Cuenca [Dazzling Charmer]

GIRL FRIENDS
My best girl friends!
You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage --- pleasantly, smilingly, non-apologetically—to say “no” to things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger “yes" burning inside. The enemy of the “best” is often the “good”
– Stephen Covey
They are my BEST GIRL FRIENDS!
Meet Elysia (middle) (a.k.a. Aie) and Lyra (right) (a.k.a. Lhay).
It happen to be all of us miss each other so much, the real plan was we're expecting that we'll be gathering together with other college friends. But it didn't happen. As usual, the planned activity doesn't happen the way we want it, while the impromptu plan was always the one who used to happen the most.
I always belive that, you have to take the good with the bad, smile when you are sad, love what you're got had. Always forgive but not forget, learn from your mistake but never regret, people change, things go wrong, just remember life goes on.
I am really proud that I have my BEST GIRL FRIENDS!
Living without them is a no, no!
How about you? What kind of girlfriends do you have?

BROTHERS: Best Buddies
BROTHERS
Best Buddies
This photo was taken July 29, 2013.
It was Monday night, when I'm about to get out from work (about 9 pm) then a rain start and it was a heavy one.
It was a stressful day for me, though it's not my first time to feel this but its quite different. I feel like I was having a bad month.
So I decided to went home, suddenly I was already on the last ride on a jeepney away from our house when the rain kept on falling heavier. I made up my mind to stay at McDonalds (Gate 5 Karangalan, Pasig City), and to eat dinner there. Also it was a good time for me to finish some paper works. It was already 11 pm when I noticed that the rain doesn't stop or even get lighter, and I am feeling cold already (since I am thin and has low cold tolerance). I'm almost done with my paper works, I just keep myself busy texting some college friends and colleagues.
Its been a week I guess that I am looking for my best friend Michael (a.k.a. Mikmik), not that I need something from him, Its just that I missed hanging out with him and also need to talk to some not much important thing (an advice on some project). I didn't have enough time to even leave a message on him, since I am busy and also him.
It was then that I receive a text message from Mikmik asking "jan ka saenyo? (are you at your home?)". I don't know if he knew or felt that I need something from him. Then I replied to his message that I was at McDonalds, in a while he came there.
I am writting this because I felt happy to have a best friend like him.
He's a tattoo artist. That night, I ask him how was his day. He just finished tattooing some customer that night, so we're both tired on our own business. I asked him why he need to see me, he said "I had something here you asked for". It was a address, and I've been asking this favor to him for a long time. I was really thankful.
Well, he was really the BEST BUDDY ever since. I am glad I have a best friend like him.
For me, true best friend is someone who's always there for you.. no matter what.
How about you? What story do you have with you best friend?

Adidas KOTR (King of the Road) 2013
It's one of the biggest running event this year in the Philippines. It started with a nice weather, and just before me and my brother (Edmond) finish the race, the weather was cloudy, it was great!
I think the only problem that concerned me and a lot of runners was about the running singlets together with the race kits which were not properly distributed to runners.
For the most part, the race itself was perfect! besides encountering some angry drivers and commuters waiting at major intersection points honking their horn. I really appreciated the work of organizers for keeping the runners well hydrated.
Also the Adidas KOTR 2013 medal was amazing, featuring a solid metal one in a nice 3D-like design.
Kudos to all cheerers, nice full costume and colorful characters!
Congratulations to all 10KM and 16.8KM FINISHERS!
Thank you Adidas Philippines and Proactive!
